Leadership Philosophy
When I think of leadership, I think of the idea that leadership is an adventure that you are continuously learning from. Leadership is limitless in possibilities and comes across many different styles. It’s the chance to help others find their voice, and support them along their own journey through empathy, inclusivity, mentorship, resiliency, and self-reflection. I believe that leadership is something that can manifest in everyone through unique ways, with the idea that there is not one type of leadership that fits all situations and that everyone has a place to share their voice.

Evolution Over Time
Before coming to UW, I had no prior experience or training in leadership. I used to think that leadership was something that you were born into, that only certain individuals had the capability to be a leader. Over time, that perception has shifted, as I’ve come to realize that leadership comes in many different forms and styles. As someone who came into this university with a quieter voice, being exposed to a diverse and inclusive environment such as UW gave me the opportunity to find my voice as a leader. Leadership is using your own unique voice and abilities to uplift those around you, empowering and supporting them through their own journeys.
